THE PEOPLE OF CABARET: WE ARE HERE
The People of Cabaret present a loud and proud lineup of outstanding artists and performers from the cabaret, burlesque, drag and circus scene. Curated by this new initiative, who formed in 2020 to support, uplift, amplify and advocate for artists who identify as Indigenous, Bla(c)k and/or people of colour, their debut Midsumma season is a vibrant expression of identity, queerness, culture and all that can be both powerful and soft. Featuring established artists including Mama Alto, Miss Cairo, Stone Motherless Cold, Victoria Falconer alongside emerging performers from The People of Cabaret’s Mentorship programme, this show is a kaleidoscopic explosion of diversity, beauty and joy.
