The future is coming… whether you like it or not.

Orgon is having an existential crisis. His wife has lost interest in everything but her dog and his overprivileged adult children show no signs of moving out… or on with their lives. The Tartuffe, an AI-powered hairdressing robot, promises to bring connection and style back to his household. The Tartuffe listens, The Tartuffe cares, The Tartuffe WANTS TO KNOW WHAT’S ON FOR THE WEEKEND?! But as Orgon and his family begin to optimise their lives by giving The Tartuffe access to, well, everything… have they optimised themselves into oblivion?

Social satirist Eddie Perfect (The Beast, Beetlejuice) brings Moliere’s classic into the alarmingly near future, examining humanity’s willingness to walk open-eyed towards our own obsolescence.

Starring Eddie Perfect (Offspring), Karis Oka (Beetlejuice), rising comedy star Noah Szto (Comedy Festival Best Newcomer 2024 and Director’s Choice 2025) alongside a team of clowns, The Tartuffe™ is a dystopian laugh-fest that will make you regret everything you ever told ChatGPT.

From the team behind Victorian Opera’s Green Room Award-winning smash Candide – including Artistic Director Dean Bryant – The Tartuffe™ is a feast for your eyes with enough comic energy to power your neighbourhood data centre.
