Malthouse Theatre invites audiences and industry behind the scenes with two new works in development, made in collaboration with radical young voices from China.
Renowned Chinese theatre-maker Wang Chong presents three exclusive showings of his new experimental performance-lecture Made In China 2.0. Following his stellar production of Little Emperors (Malthouse Theatre for Asia TOPA 2017), Chong takes audiences on a journey deep inside his personal experiences of making boundary-pushing theatre around the globe, and the ever-shifting minefield of creativity and control.
"THIS COLLABORATION WITH CHONG, HIMSELF AN IMMENSELY SENSITIVE AND SUPPLE THEATRE-MAKER, IS … RICH AND HIGHLY SATISFYING"
