In June this year, Melbourne quite literally rocked to the astonishing talent of
Paul Capsis in Barrie Kosky’s extravagant creation for him, Boulevard Delirium.

After so many requests from those who missed out (as well as those who
just couldn’t get enough!), Malthouse Theatre is delighted to invite Paul back
for a limited season before transferring to the Sydney Opera House.

Supported by the original Viennese and Melbourne musicians—acclaimed as
"exceptional", "stunningly good", and "hot, hot, hot" - Paul Capsis creates an
extraordinary theatrical space for the souls of Janis Joplin, Marlene Dietrich,
Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, Judy Garland and others, the great chanteuses of
our age, to seduce us, threaten and thrill us.

First produced by Schauspielhaus Vienna, Malthouse Theatre is proud to
be entrusted with this utterly unique creation starring one of Australia’s most
impossibly gifted artists, the ultimate shaman and entertainer: Paul Capsis.
