Geryon was a monster everything about him was red.
In an autobiography begun as a five-year-old, a young boy who is
also a
winged red monster, bares the volcanic terrain of his inner and
outer worlds.
He finds solace behind the lens of his camera and in the arms of
a cavalier
drifter who abandons him at the peak of infatuation. He commences
a heroic
journey into the reality of a world where he doesnt belong,
realising the
fantastic accident of who he is.
Through sound, visuals and physical language, Luke Mullins and an
exciting
team of young Melbourne artists explore the landscape of an exquisite
chronicle inspired by the Greek myth Herakles through the verse
novel
by Anne Carson, one of North Americas most celebrated writers.
"A profound love story
sensuous and funny, poignant, musical
and tender."
