Bagging Room (named after the process of bagging malt which
took place in this area of the building) can accommodate up to 180 people for a seminar or conference and also serves as a functional rehearsal space. The Bagging Room contains many of the early features of The CUB Malthouse; timber beams, exposed brickwork and even some original machinery.
The Hoopla! Room the founding name of Playbox Theatre) is ideally suited for workshops, seminars or meetings accommodating between 30 - 80 people. The Hoopla! Room is also big enough to be a practical rehearsal space.
The Shell Room, named in honour of one of our principle sponsors, is an intimate room suitable for board and management meetings, workshops and elegant dinners for up to 20 people.
The KILN is located next to the café on the ground floor. The MEZZ is located on the mezzanine level of The CUB Malthouse Foyer overlooking the main foyer and café/bar area. The Mezz is suitable for private drinks and catered functions.
