Public Transport
Catch any tram down St Kilda Road and alight at Grant Street (Stop 17). Or catch the No.1 South Melbourne tram and alight at Stop 19 on Sturt Street. Alternatively, we are a 12 minute walk from Flinders Street Train Station and Federation Square.
Cycling
There are bicycle racks outside the theatre foyer and bicycle stands on Sturt Street and Dodds Street. There is also a station for Melbourne Bike Share on Sturt Street outside the theatre. Helmets can be rented from the IGA on Sturt Street.
Parking Options
Car parks are available on the streets surrounding The Malthouse (Grant Street, Sturt Street, Miles Street and Dodds Street), the pricing depends on the time in which you need to use the park, so please carefully check the signage close to where you park. The Arts Centre Car Park located on Southbank Boulevard is around a 5 minute walk from The Malthouse, you can walk up either Sturt Street or Dodds Street. Subscribers receive a 15% discount off the Valet Service at the Arts Centre Car Park (available Mon – Sat from 6pm). Simply present your subscriber card to the Valet Captain on arrival to access this special offer. For people holding a disability parking pass, parking spaces are located as close as possible to the entrance of The Malthouse, both on Sturt Street and Dodds Street.
