Shadow Boxing is a one-act autopsy of a man who has distanced himself from a murky and heartbreaking past, only to run into a tougher present.

The Groundswell Division transform the Tower Theatre into a boxing club for this intensely physical production, directed by Gil Tucker, where our fighter confronts the toughest, ugliest opponent of his career...himself.

Performer, and ex-Australian Swimming champion, Matthew Rainey truly shines in this physically demanding work, delivering an exquisitely tender performance that is gently funny and deeply moving.
