Malthouse Theatre Education Program continues to offer its Teacher Preview Program for the remainder of Season One and for Season Two 2008. Teacher Preview tickets are made available to teachers of Drama and Theatre Studies to assist them with their decisions in relation to booking school groups to see particular shows and, in particular, for VCE Teachers to preview Play Listed shows.
The Teacher Preview Program is an important part of our ongoing partnership with schools, particularly for Drama and Theatre Studies teachers who need to teach the text to their students, or who wish to preview it for the purposes of suitability. Please note however, that Malthouse Theatre is under no obligation to offer complimentary tickets to teachers.
The Teacher Preview ticket offer works as follows:
One complimentary preview ticket per show is available to the Head of Drama or the VCE teacher in each school or the teacher who has made a group booking.
Note: if there is more than one VCE teacher, we need to know.
Additional tickets for a friend or a colleague may be purchased at $25.50 each, subject to availability. Please note that for shows taking place in the Beckett Theatre, there will be a limit of one additional $25.50 ticket per teacher. In the Tower Theatre preview tickets are strictly limited and additional tickets may not be available.
Interested teachers should select the preview performances they would like to attend from the dates listed below.
Teachers need to make a note of the reservation date for booking each show.
Tickets can be reserved for a particular show by phoning 9685 5165on the appropriate Reservation Date.
Teachers need to ring and reserve tickets personally - we do not accept bookings on your behalf.
We do not accept email bookings for Teacher Preview tickets unless indicated otherwise.
Tickets to teacher previews are allocated on a 'first ring first served' basis and cannot be guaranteed for everyone.
If you have any enquiries regarding the Teacher Preview system, please feel free to call Meg Upton, Education Program Manager, on 9685 5165, or you can speak with the Education Program Assistant, Mark Doggett on 9685 5164.
Please note: Teacher Preview complimentary tickets are not transferable. Should you be unable to attend, please call the Malthouse Box Office on 9685 5111 as soon as possible so your reservation can be cancelled and the ticket made available to other patrons.
