What we do

Malthouse Theatre is a not-for-profit company dedicated to making
contemporary Australian theatre that enlivens the senses, stimulates the mind,
and provokes discussion and debate about this world in which we live.

At our home – The CUB Malthouse, Southbank - we aim to develop and present
the most exciting theatre on a national and international stage, including bold
new works, daring reinterpretations of classic texts and inspired remounts of
those pieces that have defined us.

What we’re looking for

Volunteers of the Malthouse Theatre are lovers of contemporary Australian theatre and can be workers, students, retirees – anyone who is available for
a few hours at a time.

As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in the co-ordination and implementation
of our Education, Marketing and Artistic programs. The Malthouse Theatre
Bookshop is managed and staffed entirely by volunteers.

Volunteers enable our vision to achieve its full expression and are active
contributors to the arts.

	FREE access to Things on Sunday events and FREE Time to Talk events for select shows
	A 10% discount at the Malthouse Bar, Car Park and Bookshop
	Involvement in a volunteers’ Playclub that has been established as an informal expressive discussion forum about Malthouse Theatre productions
	A greater level of access to news and events at the Malthouse and what drives the company.

Volunteering also gives you the opportunity to meet with like-minded theatre
lovers and assist in the administration of the company.
